Actively involved in fencing since 1981, first as a national level athlete (Azerbaijan, USSR), then as a fencing coach (sabre).
Received coaching training under Mr. Alexander Strashkin, Honoured Maître, USSR, and Mr. Valery Shturbabin, National Honoured Maître, Ukraine.
In 2013-2022, fencing coach at Collège Stanislas, École Buissonnière, Escrime Mont Royal. Head coach at Escrime Royal Vale.
Coach of multiple medalists of Quebec Championships, Canadian National Championships and various international competitions.
Winner of the “Quebec Development Coach of the Year” award (2019).
2022: co-founder and head coach of the ELITE FENCING MONTREAL.
Sabre coach at the INS (Institut national du sport du Québec) for the 2022-2023 season.

As a high performance fencer, represented Great Britain at multiple international competitions including World Cup and Grand Prix events.
Received coaching training under two former Olympians, Mr. Dmitri Lapkes, Belarus, and Mr. James Williams, Great Britain.
Continued professional development in Hungary, where he received coaching guidance from Hungarian Maître Peter Frolich.
Coached numerous national and international fencers in the UK, including British Champions and two Commonwealth gold medalists.
FIE referee. Refereeing international World Cups since 2017.
2022: co-founder and senior coach of the ELITE FENCING MONTREAL.
