The only fencing program in Quebec for children ages 6-7!
The Musketeers program is designed for your child to take the first steps to becoming a modern-day sword master. We will teach the little ones the basics of fencing. The emphasis will be on having fun and developing fundamental movement skills through fencing and games.
The Beginners program is designed for newcomers to learn the fundamentals of fencing and the body in sport. Athletes will learn three foundational elements of fencing: footwork, bladework and the rules. Each one of them is key to be able to move and hit in the correct way. The different activities will also help fencers to develop athletic qualities: coordination, flexibility, balance.
The intermediate program is designed for those who have began to master the foundational elements and who want to start to compete. Athletes will learn and be able to display more complex footwork and bladework, and demonstrate a good understanding of fencing rules. Fencers will receive tactical training and start building strategic elements.
The advanced program is performance-centred. It is designed for fencers who want to represent Canada on the international stage. Athletes will have an individualised training program and extensive competition schedule. They will receive intense footwork and intricate bladework training embedded in a strategical and tactical framework. The program also includes conditioning to help fencers to achieve a higher degree of fitness.
The adult program is designed for newcomers to learn the fundamentals of fencing (footwork, bladework and the rules), as well as for those who have fencing experience.
Each class includes warm-up, footwork, bladework and free fencing. In this program, you can fence for recreational fun and fitness or train to compete.
Private classes are highly recommended to all our fencers. Our coaches invite you to improve your fencing skills and technique, one-on-one.
